The Israeli Electric Corporation (IEC), represented by Adv. Yoran Gill and Adv. Amit Ron of the law firm Yaacov Salomon, Lipschütz & Co., filed a claim against Harel Insurance Company Ltd., for the payment of insurance compensations for indirect damages suffered by IEC due to the shutting down of an electricity generating gas turbine in the "Eshcol" power plant, for purposes of repairing direct damage due to a malfunction in the gas turbine. In an arbitration judgment dated June 17th, 2009, the vice president of the Supreme Court (retired), the honorable Judge Theodor Or, has accepted the claim, almost to its full extent, and awarded IEC compensation in the amount of nearly NIS 90 million.
