Over the years our firm has grown and it is now comprised of over 40 legal professionals (including partners, associates and articled clerks) in our Haifa and Ramat-Gan offices. Yaacov Salomon, Lipschutz & Co. is one of the first law firms to have been established in Israel (originally Mandatory Palestine). In the 1920’s, Harry Sacker, an English Barrister, founded the firm, and his successor was Advocate Shalom Horowitz, who founded the partnership of S. Horowitz & Co. In 1953 that partnership divided into three law firms (each of the then three branches of the firm, the Haifa branch, the Tel Aviv branch and the Jerusalem branch formed a separate law firm, and the Tel Aviv branch continued to be called S. Horowitz & Co). The late Yaacov Salomon, together with the late Naphtali Lipschutz, formed the firm of Yaacov Salomon, Lipschutz & Co., with its principal office in Haifa and another office in Tel Aviv (today Ramat Gan).

The late Yaacov Salomon and the late Naphtali Lipschutz are considered to have been two of the most respected and highly regarded attorneys of their time. The two of them, each in his own way, left their mark on and contributed to the development of the practice of law in Israel. In the years preceding the establishment of the State of Israel, under the leadership of both the late Yaacov Salomon and the late Naphtali Lipschutz, our firm represented and advised the leadership and some of the major organizations of the Jewish population in Mandatory Palestine with respect to various matters having great significant and influence on the young state to come, and was actively involved in various historical events effecting the life of the population and the establishment of the state to come. After the establishment of Israel, under the leadership of the late Yaacov Salomon and the late Naphtali Lipschutz, the firm was involved in a variety very sophisticated, sensitive and historical cases and precedents. The firm advised and represented many major financial, industrial, agricultural and educational companies and institutions in the then young State of Israel and in the years that followed, some of them continue to be represented by our firm till this date.
